Description: The Open Student Television Network offers an excellent opportunity for a proven self-starter and master communicator with creative instincts and a desire to help promote OSTN at our member campuses. Do you love to interact with creative people? We’re looking for people who are passionate about television and interactive media, especially student produced content. As an OSTN UCREW Campus Outreach Associate, you will be an integral component of an aggressive outreach program to promote OSTN’s IPTV, cable, and satellite television network to our member campuses. You will identify opportunities to promote and bring awareness to the OSTN Channel and programming slate through various campus level as well as community specific modalities. In addition you will also work to articulate the opportunities that exist for students through OSTN on your campus.
Responsibilities:- Help guide and promote OSTN via flyer, call-out, viral campaigns etc.
- Perform online research to identify other potential way to bring awareness to students on your campus about OSTN.
- Heavy phone and email correspondence with students, faculty, and staff as well as student organizations to cultivate awareness surrounding the OSTN channel and associated programming slate.
- Build relationships and motivate potential contributors to submit future projects.
- Work with the OSTN Membership Development, Programming, and Distribution group to develop new outreach approaches that address programming needs
- Perform constant follow-up and relationship management with students and student organizations.
- Maintain and update database of contacts.
Skills:- Highly motivated, self-starter with results-driven sales-oriented attitude
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Solid understanding of Peer to Peer lead generation and sales process
- Proficient in established and emerging online communities and forms of communication
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
- Prior work in the entertainment field or campus specific promotions
- Interest in television/new media development
