Department: Media Operations Position: Programming Assistant Location: Cleveland, Ohio Schedule: Part-Time/Hourly pay Hours: Flexible upon school schedule but prefer 15-20 hours week
The Open Student Television Network offers an excellent opportunity for a proven self-starter and master communicator with creative instincts to be a part of the OSTN channel´s media operations team. Prime responsibilities include reviewing incoming content and screening work according to our channel´s broadcast standards. Other duties include logging programs, organizing media, program research and some email outreach for various OSTN endeavors. Candidate will ideally have a background in film and television production or broadcast journalism. Candidate must be extremely organized, and have keen attention to detail regarding video quality and play out, commercial music and a good sense of the 18-24 age demographic. OSTN is willing to accommodate internship requirements if necessary.
Responsibilities :
Responsible for viewing incoming OSTN content including TV programs, documentaries, and films.
Responsible for populating work orders and logs for media operations staff.
Work with OSTN acquisitions team to organize and select work for airing and review.
Conduct research for acquisitions staff to identify new programs and film festivals.
Work with OSTN Media Festival staff on student outreach and marketing.
Skills :
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be extremely organized
Proficient in MS Excel
