NEOSA SELECTS OSTN AS BEST EMERGING TECH COMPANY OF 2007

Cleveland – August 09, 2007 – The Northeast Ohio Software Association (NEOSA) has named the Open Student Television Network (OSTN) as the Best Emerging Company for 2007. The award was presented on Tuesday May, 22, 2007, at the 2007 NEOSA Best of Tech Awards Ceremony in Warrensville Heights.

NEOSA, the technology network of the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE) created the awards to honor outstanding achievements of companies and entrepreneurs in the Northeast Ohio region. As a supporter of tech industry development, education, and advocacy, NEOSA received close to 60 nominations for the 2007 Best of Tech Awards.

OSTN is the leading provider of IPTV content and services, including the OSTN student channel, educational channels such as NASA TV, C-SPAN, University of California Television (UCTV) and the Florida Educational Channel, news channels such as MSNBU and Fox News, entertainment channels such as the Sci-Fi and USA Networks, and foreign language channels such as CCTV (Chinese), TV5 (French), and RAI (Italian).

“We were very impressed with the quality of the nominated companies,” says Phil Alexander, President of BrandMuscle and Chairman of NEOSA. “OSTN has the opportunity to dominate in a very exciting space—digital media content aggregation and distribution to college students.”

“Northeast Ohio is home to some truly exciting emerging companies, doing really interesting work,” says Brad Nellis, Director of NEOSA. “OSTN is a great representative of the imagination, vision and desire of an early stage business. We’re excited to recognize them and are looking forward to hearing great things about them in the future.”

OSTN is delivered to 60 million users at over 4,500 university member campuses in 46 countries around the globe. OSTN features the only global, 24/7 student-produced television channel and produces original television programming through OSTN Studios.

“We’re pleased that NEOSA and the Northeast Ohio technology community have recognized OSTN’s achievements with this honor,” said Prashant Chopra, Chief Executive Officer of OSTN. “We proudly accept this award on behalf of the universities and students that contribute to OSTN.”
